Each Private Vehicle is registered for 15 years, at the time of new registration. After 15 years, it has to be re-registered every 5 years.

Whereas in the case of Transport Vehicles the fitness certificate is issued for a new vehicle for the first 2 years and subsequently renewed every 2 years. After the vehicle's age of 8 years, fitness certificate is renewed every year.

Please Note

The Vehicle Should Be Produced Before the Registering Authority for Inspection.
If the Registration Certificate is not Renewed within the due date, Then a Fine of Rs. 500 will be incurred.
